Over Memorial Day weekend, KBR sponsored a VIP experience at the NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte, N.C., for U.S. servicemembers and their families, many of whom had recently returned from deployments. The tickets included all infield VIP events and a suite to view the race.

KBR provided the experience as part of Speedway Motorsports, Inc.’s (SMI) Welcome Home Patriots initiative, which launched in 2019. Welcome Home Patriots is designed to close the gap between the military community and the civilian community by partnering with companies whose mission is to give back to America's troops after their careers in the U.S. Armed Forces. Welcome Home Patriots also provides a welcoming race-day, VIP experience for the military community at SMI's world-class motorsports facilities from coast to coast. KBR was the first Welcome Home Patriots sponsor in 2019 and continues to sponsor multiple events each year as a natural extension of its commitment to servicemembers’ quality of life.

“KBR is a proud employer of veterans, Reservists, and National Guard members, and we always look for ways to support service members, whether they’re on active duty or transitioning out of the military into a civilian career. One of the best parts of my job is being able to bring this amazing experience to so many current and former service members and their families,” said Stephen Barton, a senior business development manager who leads KBR’s sponsorship of Welcome Home Patriots.

KBR is the Team Behind the MissionSM providing base operations, logistics, asset management, and maintenance support to dozens of government installations around the globe. Working side-by-side with government and civilian customers, KBR’s services provide enhanced quality of life for servicemembers whether they’re stationed at home or abroad.
