Case studies:
Covid-19 Biosurveillance and Prediction Program: This program built exclusively for the U.S. Air Force utilizes an explainable artificial intelligence laboratory that employs natural language processing to support a real-time Covid-19 dashboard with interpretive visualization and analysis tools.
GeneLab Data System: Interactive, open-access data repository for NASA where scientists can upload, download, store, search, share, transfer, and house data generated from DNA and RNA. The system includes an analysis platform to apply a bioinformatics workflow management then used to generate customized suits of omics data analysis tools.
Integrated Data Repository: KBR’s cloud computing environment uses AWS GovCloud, a HIPAA compliant and Defense Health Agency verified system, to enable collaborative, rapid analysis across large datasets including medical records, medical imaging, and biological data.
Prolonged Care Model: Simulates health care optimization in constrained environments or limited resource scenarios such as a pandemic or natural disaster when patient care demands exceed available capacities. The model uses modern object-oriented simulation software while leveraging relationships to an extensive retrospective dataset used within the Department of Defense’s Joint Medical Planning Tool.
