Promoting Offshore Solutions at OTC 2015

KBR and its subsidiary companies, GVA, Granherne and Energo, jointly participated in Houston’s Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) May 4 – 7 at NRG Park. Working collaboratively, they presented three papers, served as technical chair for four conference sessions, hosted a private reception, sponsored “The World’s Largest Crawfish Boil” and held numerous client meetings.

“OTC was a wonderful opportunity to showcase to our customers all that KBR offers,” said Graham Hill, Executive Vice President, Global Business Development & Strategy. “Our Technology, E&C, Granherne, GVA and Energo professionals all participated in this year’s events, demonstrating how KBR provides customers with complete offshore project life-cycle solutions.”

OTC Presented Papers included:“Technical Challenges and Impacts of Extending Spar and Semi-submersible Platform Capabilities to 4,500 m Water Depths” presented by Richard D’Souza – KBR; Rajiv Aggarwal – KBR; Rahul Subramanian – Granherne.“Subsea Processing versus Host Selection: An Imperative Correlation” presented by Afam Anikpo – Granherne and Francesco Beltrami – Granherne.“Alternative Direct Vertical Access Solutions for Development of Marginal Assets in Deepwater — A DeepStar Study” presented by Rajiv Aggarwal – KBR and Dave Barton – Granherne and colleagues from Chevron.

OTC also offered an opportunity for KBR to help give back to the community and the future of the industry as sponsor of “The World’s Largest Crawfish Boil,” that helped raise funds for engineering scholarships at the University of Houston.

At OTC 2015, KBR shared technologies, expertise, and best practices with the global offshore market while keeping an eye on future opportunities.
