KBR's Government Services business segment, KBRwyle, was recently awarded a $500 million contract by the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) to support its Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF) program. The POTFF mission is to optimize readiness through physical, mental, social and spiritual programs for Special Operations Forces (SOF) and their families.

Under this contract, KBRwyle will provide POTFF a number of human performance and psychological performance services and ensure SOF personnel have access to care from a full spectrum of physical and mental health professionals to optimize readiness and resilience of service members and their families. Services will include performance-based strength and conditioning programs and rehabilitation techniques to accelerate the warfighter's return to duty. KBRwyle professionals will perform individual, group and family counseling, case management and other activities that integrate the physical, spiritual and psychological wellness of SOF warriors and their families.

KBRwyle will help USSOCOM optimize the readiness and resilience of soldiers and their family members by providing a variety of professional services under the POTFF contract.

KBRwyle's highly qualified workforce will support POTFF's care for SOF. Its staff will include clinical psychologists and social workers, physical therapists, athletic trainers, nurses, dietitians, strength and conditioning coaches, data scientists and other experts. These services will be carried out at up to 32 locations in the United States and around the world.

For decades, KBRwyle has served the U.S. government's high-performing teams, including soldiers operating in dangerous environments and NASA astronauts venturing into space," said Byron Bright, President, KBR Government Services U.S. "We will apply this experience to our work with the U.S. Special Operations Command.

KBRwyle will leverage its expertise on its Human Health and Performance Contract (HHPC) with NASA to carry out the POTFF mission. Through HHPC and other contracts, its scientists, technicians and medical personnel have worked with every U.S. astronaut since 1968. Today, KBRwyle tends to the physical and psychological well-being of astronauts and manages a lifetime surveillance of their health that starts with their selection into the program.

Support services under the POTFF contract will be carried out at up to 32 locations throughout the United States and around the world.

KBRwyle will carry out this work for up to eight years under an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. The contract's period of performance is five years with three option years."
