KBR Teams Bring Holiday Cheer Through Acts of Giving
This holiday season, KBR teams are spreading joy and making a difference in their communities. From toy drives to food drives that help families in need, our people are coming together to give back in meaningful ways.
India Teams Bring Holiday Cheer to Underprivileged Children
This December, KBR’s young professional and corporate social responsibility teams in India are embracing the spirit of giving through an initiative designed to make the festive season brighter for underprivileged children.
For two weeks, donation boxes were placed across all India offices. The boxes overflowed with toys from the kindness of employees who contributed brand-new toys, stationery, and gifts for children aged 5 to 12. Each gift was wrapped at our dedicated gift-wrapping stations—some even accompanied by handwritten notes.
KBR volunteers visited local children’s homes and non-governmental organizations to personally distribute these gifts.
Adelaide Team Supports Children’s Charity, Treasure Boxes
Treasure Boxes is a South Australian children’s not-for-profit, providing vital essentials to babies, children, and teens living in disadvantage. Treasure Boxes bridges the gap by arranging donations and delivering childhood essentials, including cots, prams, highchairs, and clothing to families in need.
Each year, the Adelaide office lends Treasure Boxes a hand by helping to pack boxes of clothes, toys, and household items for families in need. Organized by Julie Thompson and Natalie Papaioannou, ten people from the Adelaide office volunteered their time, spending over two hours packing boxes and cleaning equipment such as prams to ensure items were ready for reuse.
Reflecting on the initiative, Natalie Papaioannou, Operations Manager, said, “Treasure Boxes is a charity that is close to our hearts in the Adelaide office – its team makes a real difference for families doing it tough, and we were proud to lend a hand.”
Houston Teams Spread Holiday Cheer Through Toy Drive
KBR’s Readiness and Sustainment team and the Houston chapter of KBR’s All In employee community organized a holiday toy drive to benefit local families in need. The donated toys were delivered through Operation Stocking Stuffer, an initiative that has supported underprivileged families in the Houston area for years.
The event, organized by the Houston Fire Department, ensures that more than 20,000 children receive toys each holiday season—bringing joy and hope to families across the community.
NSS Ohio Teams Deliver 300 Gifts to Dayton Children’s Hospital
The NSS Ohio Toy Drive brought together our local Ohio teams in an incredible show of generosity this year. Together, they collected and delivered over 300 gifts to Dayton Children’s Hospital, helping to brighten the holidays for young patients and their families.
Leatherhead Team Spreads Holiday Cheer with Donation Drive for Local Homeless Shelter
This holiday season, our IMPACT and All In colleagues in Leatherhead organized a two-week Donation Drive for their local homeless shelter. Colleagues were encouraged to pick up a few extra items during their weekly shop and drop them off at collection points across the Leatherhead campus, with requested items including tinned food, pantry staples, toiletries, and other essential items. Thanks to the generosity of the team, a significant collection of items was gathered and prepared for delivery to support their local homeless community.
Chantilly Team Supports Military Families Through Fisher House Donations
Each year, the NSS Chantilly team comes together to support the Forest Glen Annex Fisher House, an organization that provides comfort and care to military families during times of medical hardship.
The Forest Glen Annex Fisher House offers complimentary lodging for families of service members and veterans receiving care at Walter Reed and affiliated facilities, ensuring loved ones can remain close to their service member and providing comfort and stability during medical treatment.
This holiday season, the team’s kindness and generosity made a meaningful impact. Employees donated food, gift cards, and monetary contributions through December 5, helping stock the Fisher House pantry and fill NICU baby bags for families in need.
Midwest City Office Hosts Community Care Drive for Local Families
This November, our Midwest City location organized a community care drive that resulted in a generous donation of non-perishable food, hygiene products, and essential supplies. These items were delivered to Mission Mid-Del, Inc. and several little pantries throughout the OKC metro area, helping provide much-needed support to families in our community.
Warrenton Office Collects Food and Essentials for Local Pantry
The Warrenton office came together this season to support the community by collecting non-perishable food items and essential products for a local food pantry. This effort helps ensure that families in need have access to nutritious meals and basic necessities during the holidays and beyond.
As we celebrate these incredible efforts, it’s worth noting that these are just a few examples of the generosity happening across KBR this holiday season. From local drives to global initiatives, our teams continue to make a meaningful impact in the communities where we live and work. Thank you to every KBR employee who has contributed – your kindness truly makes a difference.
