KBR’s proud and unwavering commitment to supporting the UK Armed Forces Community military in the UK has once again been awarded the highest level of recognition by the UK Ministry of Defence. As a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant since its inception, KBR has continually strived to improve the support it offers employees who serve or have served in the British Armed Forces. The reaccreditation of the Gold Award in the Employer Recognition Scheme, following a previous Gold in 2019, demonstrates KBR’s continued dedication to supporting the UK Armed Forces community. This latest award recognizes additional support that KBR now offers to Reservists, Cadet Instructors and spouses of UK Armed Forces personnel.

At a special event held at FTX Logistics Ltd, part of the KBR group of companies, Philip Marks, Defence Relationships Manager at the UK Ministry of Defence, said of the award, “I am delighted to re-award KBR Gold Status in the Armed Forces Employer Recognition Scheme. KBR has demonstrated its commitment to the scheme by not only maintaining the standard set during the previous Gold Award, but continuing to build upon it, through a commitment to mentoring for military reservist and veteran employees.”

Serving personnel bring fantastic skills and experience to the civilian sector, and enabling reservists to take their civilian skills into the military when mobilised is key to a truly integrated force,” said Leanne Pratley, Operations Director, Defence, Defence Nuclear Technology Solutions (UK), KBR. “It is highly fitting to receive this award at FTX Logistics today, where the team of 88 fully trained and deployable sponsored reservists deliver additional key capability both at home and overseas.” KBR proudly recognizes the contribution and added benefit that reservists, veterans and their loved ones bring to its already diverse and dedicated workforce.
