KBR’s Mission Technology Solutions (MTS) business is expanding its collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help government agencies process the massive volumes of data generated by satellites and sensors and turn it into real-time decisions.  

The company will work with AWS to modernize space and ground systems through cloud-based infrastructure, advanced analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The collaboration focuses on accelerating the processing and analysis of data from hyperspectral satellites, optical sensors and distributed sensor networks to support vital missions, such as satellite monitoring, in-orbit threat detection and Earth observation.

KBR’s Speed to Mission Impact℠, designed to rapidly deliver solutions that accelerate mission success, centers on transitioning legacy systems to cloud-native architectures designed to scale with mission demands. The company is also applying a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), which allows agencies to integrate new technologies more efficiently while maintaining flexibility and interoperability across platforms.

A key focus is on reducing the time between data collection and operational response. KBR leverages AWS to rapidly process large, complex datasets and turn them into actionable information.

KBR is increasing its investment in AWS-certified personnel and migration capabilities as part of the expanded collaboration. The company holds AWS Migration Competency status and operates as an AWS Advanced Tier Services Partner, reflecting deep experience in planning, executing and optimizing large-scale cloud migrations while meeting stringent security, compliance and resilience requirements for the public sector.

KBR applies AWS-validated methodologies, automation and established best practices to help agencies reduce the risk and costs of cloud transitions.
