- The Victorian Government is committed to removing 50 of the most dangerous and congested level crossings on Melbourne’s metropolitan rail.
Project Highlights
- KBR in a collaborative alliance with John Holland, VicRoads, Public Transport Victoria (PTV), Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) and the Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA) delivered the first four level crossing removal projects (Burke, North, Ormond and McKinnon).
- The projects involved lowering the rail line below the road. It also included design and construction of new stations, platforms and access improvements to public transport connections.
