Sharmila Juggesur has always been keen to learn about new things. She’s grateful that KBR, with its collaborative, team-centered culture and diverse areas of focus and expertise, keeps providing her with new opportunities to grow.

As a member of the Advisory Consulting team — part of KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) business — Sharmila is not only responsible for strategizing how to approach clients and supporting business development, but she also develops synergies between STS and KBR’s Government Solutions (GS) business, helping take KBR’s energy industry experience and energy transition expertise into the government sector.

“I like that my role allows me to be involved in several aspects of the business, from corporate strategy to operations management, bids and tenders, as well as crossing into the GS side and interacting with clients in the defense space,” she said. “I enjoy the flexibility I have to always learn more. That’s something KBR delivers to its people. The potential really is limitless.”

KBR has also delivered a deeper appreciation of both safety and sustainability.

“I’ve become more aware because of KBR’s Zero Harm culture,” she said. “It’s made me more aware. From little things we do at home without thinking that could lead to accidents, to broader issues such as inclusion and diversity, I’ve learned a lot from KBR.”

Sharmila enjoys outdoor time with her family and is an avid reader. She particularly enjoys psychological thrillers and murder mysteries, which, weirdly enough, put her right to sleep.
