In his role as EPC program director, Osagie Ihonde draws on 25 years of experience at KBR to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, that they are executed with Zero Harm safety standards top of mind, and that our customers are always satisfied.

Naturally, every project is unique and comes with its own specific challenges. Osagie wouldn’t have it any other way.

“One of my mentors once said, ‘Every project is its own living, breathing dragon,’” he said. “One project can be straightforward, while the next could be volatile and require teams to adapt to rapidly changing situations. It’s the dynamic nature of the projects and the ability to positively influence outcomes that I love most about what I do.”

Osagie feels fortunate to work with a company that values his skills and that has empowered and trusted him over the years to make the right decisions. It’s something he tries to pass on to young engineers with whom he’s worked.

“I have been lucky to work on projects all over the world and have had the opportunity to train several young engineers in different countries over the years,” he said. “Every time I hear from one of them about how they are progressing in their careers, it brings me great joy. It strengthens my feeling that KBR is more than a company — it’s a family that cares.”
