KBR’s Corporate Giving sponsored a multi-year grant for Australia’s Nature Conservancy to create the Karrkad-Kandji Trust, whose mission is to provide leadership, management, and financial support for two Indigenous Protected Areas.
The KBR/Turner Joint Venture received the 2011 Excellence in Construction Award and Free Enterprise Award for the Boeing South Carolina 787 Final Assembly Building.
With another year complete, 2011 proved to be a success for KBR. Despite a challenging global economic environment, the company reached its corporate goals.
KBR will provide construction services for ExxonMobil's new synthetics lubricant base stock facility to be built at ExxonMobil's refinery and chemical plant complex in Baytown, TX. When completed in 2013, the facility will produce ExxonMobil Chemical's high-viscosity SpectraSyn Elite™ metallocene PAO base stock.
KBR provided engineering and construction to this major multifaceted infrastructure program including a treatment plant upgrade, system upgrade and network upgrade.
