We are responsible corporate citizens and neighbors, leading by example through philanthropy and volunteerism to better the communities in which we live and work.

KBR is more than a global company — we are citizens and neighbors in communities around the world in which we live and work. We believe it is our obligation to add value to these communities beyond the professional services we provide. One of our main priorities is to leverage our company’s business success to provide direct social benefits to those in need through employee volunteerism, employee giving, and corporate support of global and local philanthropic organizations.

KBR is proud to contribute financially and we are grateful for the generosity of our employees who volunteer hours to causes we care about such as job training for veterans or women’s health. Since 2007 KBR has contributed nearly $18 million dollars and provided over 87,000 employee volunteer hours to benefit charitable causes around the globe. Our charity golf tournament, held annually each autumn in Houston, has raised more than $3.3 million since 2007 for local Houston-area charities, providing a significant impact in our community.

KBR’s primary areas of financial support are education, health and the environment. We focus on supporting health initiatives that promote a healthy workforce and improve quality of life. We contribute to educational programs, particularly those that provide quality education for youth with an emphasis on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) subjects. We support environmental programs and initiatives that create healthier and more sustainable green spaces and water systems for everyday use, recreation and quality of life.

KBR also invests in the future through our Discover Engineering Committee (DEC), a volunteer organization that gives our engineers the opportunity to provide education about STEM careers to bright young students through classroom visits, workshops, and mentor  programs.
