Aniline
The production of aniline by nitration of benzene and the catalytic hydrogenation of mono-nitrobenzene (MNB) is the dominant production route practiced today. KBR is the exclusive licensor of the DuPont aniline technology, which is currently used in four world-scale facilities. The technology sets the benchmark in the industry for product quality, product yield, process safety and environmental controls. KBR offers comprehensive services including technology licensing, basic and detailed engineering, construction, and support for plant operation such as operator training and start-up services.

A Catalytic Cracking Process for Ethylene and Propylene from Paraffin Streams
The Advanced Catalytic Olefins (ACO) Process
SK Corporation and KBR have developed a new and innovative catalytic cracking technology called the Advanced Catalytic Olefins (ACO) process to produce ethylene and propylene from predominantly paraffinic streams, such as straight run naphtha. This technology holds promise for replacing the conventional hot ends area of liquid crackers.

NExOCTANE
The NExOCTANE process selectively converts isobutylene to iso-octane, which results in the highest quality commercially available product. Iso-octane is a cost effective and higher value replacement of MTBE than alkylate or polymerate. Iso-octane (and iso-octene) offer excellent blending characteristics in gasoline, such as low vapor pressure (RVP). The olefinic product provides an especially good octane blending contribution.
