KBR Statement on Sgt. Maseth Litigation

The most widely erroneously reported statement related to this case is that KBR is responsible for and under criminal investigation for the 18 electrocution deaths that have been publicized in relation to Staff Sergeant Maseth's death.

Seven of these 18 soldiers died after inadvertently making contact with high voltage power lines; lines that KBR did not maintain nor have any control over. Another six of these 18 soldiers died while attempting to repair equipment. Once again, KBR was not involved these incidents. Three other soldiers died at facilities for which KBR had no maintenance responsibility.

KBR in no way condones or tolerates unethical or illegal behavior. The safety and security of our employees, subcontractors, and customers is our top priority.
