KBR's ROSE™ Technology is the Center of New Indian Refinery Modernization Study
KBR has been selected to perform a refinery modernization study using its proprietary technology, Residuum Oil Supercritical Extraction (ROSE™), at the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) refinery in Mumbai, India.
The United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) awarded HPCL a US$597,882 grant to analyze the viability of applying ROSE technology to convert heavy end residual products derived in the refining process to lighter end and higher value products.
HPCL is a major, state-owned petroleum refining and oil products marketing company that operates two large refineries, one in Mumbai and the other in Vishakhapatnam, located in eastern India.
