KBR Receives Multiple Houston Business Roundtable Safety Awards

Two of KBR's Industrial Service jobsites were recently nominated by their clients, Sterling Chemical and Shell, for the Houston Business Roundtable (HBR) Safety Excellence Award.

The HBR Safety Excellence Awards focus on improving on-site safety, eliminating accidents, and most importantly, reducing injuries to employees. Over the past 21 years the Houston Business Roundtable has been recognizing Greater Houston Area industrial contractors for their outstanding safety performance.

This year's awards were held on May 2, 2008 in Galveston where KBR's Sterling Chemical site in Texas City was recognized for its contributions towards providing a safe environment for its employees. The team walked away with a Bronze level award in the General Contractor Large category.

The KBR ITI group was presented with a Gold level award in the Specialty Contractor Hard Crafts category for their performance and involvement in providing leadership to the contractor community at their Deer Park facility. In addition KBR ITI was selected for the Best in Class Gold level award.
