Hydrogen Technology Solutions

KBR offers technology solutions for low-energy, low-cost hydrogen plants. KBR's range of design options provide flexibility to tailor the hydrogen plant to the unique needs of each client. KBR offers three options for reforming:

• Traditional Steam - Methane Reformer (SMR)
• SMR plus Reforming Exchanger
• KRES™ which combines our reforming exchanger with an autothermal reformer (ATR)

KBR has licensed more than 200 plants based on synthesis gas production including hydrogen plants, ammonia plants and methanol plants. KBR has worked on the design and/or construction of 34 refinery hydrogen plants.

We offer our own process technology for the synthesis gas generation and shift sections. KBR uses PSA systems from leading suppliers.
