Refining

Petrochemicals

With a track record of nearly 60 years of petrochemical experience, KBR has the right technologies and processes to meet customers' business goals. Delivering the most cost-effective and efficient design for your feedstock starts with our seasoned engineering team. Working closely with our customers, KBR provides EPC-CS and project management resources to execute safe, reliable plants that are easy to operate and maintain - all within defined project schedules and budgets. Further proof of our pledge to provide the right solutions for our clients is PetroChina's Lanzhou Petrochemical ethylene plant, which is producing 600,000 tons per year. Having flexible technology in place contributed to Lanzhou's rapid start-up and excellent yields.

Chemicals

As the leader in phenol technology for more than 50 years, KBR has experience with a wide range of intermediate chemicals including aniline, phenol, n-paraffins to help customers achieve goals throughout a project's lifecycle. Providing guidance from project conception through startup and beyond determines whether an operation has the right mix of products to ensure the greatest value. For example, Ningbo Wanhua Polyurethanes Company turned to KBR for technology and basic engineering of 360,000 million tpy aniline plant. Once complete, Wanhua's aniline plant will be the largest in China and the largest single-train aniline facility in the world.
