Year in Review: 2011

With another year complete, 2011 proved to be a success for KBR. Despite a challenging global economic environment, the company reached its corporate goals and continued to progress in efforts to be the contractor of choice for all customers.

During 2011, more than fifty projects achieved an injury-free work place and across all business units, safety improvements were achieved. Whether in offices or on project sites, KBR employees continue to display their commitment to the core value of safety and are working harder than ever to meet the company goal of zero lost-time incidents.

High acclaim came in 2011 with the Services group winning more than double the awards from 2010 and Technology continuing to experience strong double-digit annual growth rates. 2011 was also a year where sales momentum rebounded in the Infrastructure and Minerals markets. Power had $800 million in new awards last year, including Solid Waste Authority and Kemper County Coal Gasifier. Large wins for government businesses included work for the UK Foreign Commonwealth Office Life Support Services in Iraq and Afghanistan, BHP Expeditionary Camps, U.S. State Department awards in Iraq and the U.S. Army Europe contract for the Balkans. Through continued positioning efforts on several large LNG, refining and offshore prospects, KBR is well positioned for continued sales growth in 2012.

Through the solid execution of projects across all Business Units, KBR project teams achieved new levels of financial performance and proved that ‘we deliver’ any project, any time, in any environment.
