In Australia, KBR has more than 1,700 staff in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Operating in Australia for 50 years, we provide a high-level of expertise to both government and private sector clients in a range of industries including:
Driven by a commitment to the safety of all involved, technical excellence in what we do and a respect for the environment, we contribute to hundreds of projects at any one time. These are as varied and challenging as relatively small but important environmental studies, to training helicopter pilots, to multi-billion projects such as Victoria's Regional Rail Link, and the massive, remote and environmentally-sensitive Gorgon project, producing 10 million tonnes a year of liquefied natural gas (LNG). Australia is the sixth largest producer of LNG and KBR is involved in about a third of all LNG projects in the world.
Through the KJVG joint venture, KBR is leading the execution and construction of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility on Barrow Island. The project consists of three 5 million tonne per annum (MTPA) LNG trains, gas processing and treatment facilities, product storage and offloading, complete offsites, utilities and accommodations.
