With nearly six decades of experience operating in Canada, KBR Industrial is one of the nation's most established construction contractors with projects executed successfully across the country. Our longevity in Canada can be attributed to both our history of project execution excellence and our unwavering commitment to the KBR Values of Health, Safety and Environment.
Since the establishment of KBR in Canada in 1951, we have worked on most of the large-scale chemical and energy projects in the province of Alberta. KBR has played a major role in the construction of some of the largest projects in Canadian history, including the Syncrude and Suncor Plants in Fort McMurray, petrochemical plants in Fort Saskatchewan, and a refinery and styrene plant in Scotford, Alberta. With offices in Edmonton and projects across the country, KBR Canada has developed a strong track record of delivering successful construction projects through a highly-trained, multi-craft workforce and the use of the latest and most effective construction technologies. KBR Industrial's range of services includes direct hire construction, construction management, maintenance services, turnarounds, shutdowns and emergency outage response.
We have a demonstrated expertise in providing process piping fabrication services through our 5-bay, 8,000 ton per year fabrication shop in Edmonton. Our pipe fabrication facility generates approximately 50,000 weld diameter inch (WDI) per month on a one-shift basis, which makes it one of the largest and most technically capable operations of its kind in Canada.
Combining both field construction and shop fabrication capabilities, we construct and assemble process plant modules in a dedicated yard at our Edmonton facilities. With a track record of approximately 2,000 modules built in the past 25 years we have demonstrated an ability to keep pace with the design evolution and rapidly increasing demand for modular fabrication.
Our expertise in modular assembly projects provides us with wide-ranging building solutions for industrial sites across Canada. Our commitment to hiring and developing local talent makes us more than just a company in Canada - we are partners in the community.
